The Encore’s I.366.2 Relay technology for Fax is designed around a flexible, programmable architecture, in which the basic modulation/demodulation protocols and ITU-T I.366.2 compliant relay state machine are both implemented. The implementation, which is the solution for Service Specific Convergence Sub-layer for facsimile relay over ATM network, supports ITU-T I.366.2 along with the data pump, which includes V.17, V.29, V.27ter and V.21 Protocols.
