Group 3 fax or
G3 fax is commonly used for G3 facsimile
data communication over PSTN and digital
communication networks.
Encore’s Group 3 fax
software, also referred too as G3 fax
software or the T.38 fax software, is
designed to provide ITU-T T.30 functionality
including the ITU-T V.17, V.29, V.27ter and
V.21 Ch. 2 (V.21 High channel) compatible
fax data pump (fax modem) for G3 Fax
applications.
The features of the G3
fax software implementation are:
- Adheres to all the mandatory features of
ITU-T V.17, V.29, V.27ter, V.21 and ITU-T
T.30.
- ECM Support.
- Relocatable Code & Data Modules.
- Flexible Programming Interface ('C' Callable).
- T.30 tested for compatibility/interoperability using the
Quality Logic's FAXLAB equipment, and using
many commercially available fax machines.
- Currently Encore’s G3 Fax module is
available on TI’s TMS320C64x (C64x),
TMS320C62x (C62x), TMS320C54x (C54x),
TMS320C55x (C55x), StarCore, and ARM
platforms.
